Symphony Audio Solutions is a cooperation between Hans ”Surte” Norin and Peter Fredriksson. We are both freelance sound engineers with a long history in mixing live music.
Our work is driven by a shared commitment to faithfully capture and amplify the sound created on stage, delivering an exceptional experience to the audience. It could be a fully mic’d crossover project where symphony orchestras plays together with different artists and bands to more acoustical projects where you still need to reinforce the acoustical sound of an orchestra. For example a classical outdoor concert.
We’ve been working together since 2015 and have together built up a quick and easy workflow. As we both are driven by making the music sound as natural and good as possible we have also developed a deep appreciation for high quality audio equipment. We are always seeking the optimal equipment and audio solutions for our audio rig especially assembled for just this type of projects.
We are both passionate about music and sound, having grown up in musical families and playing ourselves, Peter the trumpet and french horn and Surte the saxophones.
Surte has a long, 35+ years history in the industry, from touring as a pop technician and being technical director at different concert halls to making sound design on operas and theaters. As of now Surte is technical director for Västanå Music Theater in Sunne, Sweden.
Peter with 20+ years in the industry primarily works as a monitor engineer, but sometimes also handles FOH. Between freelance projects he also does FOH and technical coordination for Norrbotten Big Band, based in Luleå, Sweden. Peter has also over the years worked on and off as sound and project manager in different culture houses and on PA-rental companies.
